Brisvia is an open network: no one has power over your coins but you. That also means no one can recover them if they are stolen. These few simple rules protect you from almost every scam.

The golden rules

1No one will ever ask for your 12 words.Not the Brisvia team, not support, not a moderator, not a website. Your 12 words are your entire wallet: whoever has them takes everything. Never type them into any site, form, chat or program other than your own wallet when restoring it.
2There are no giveaways, airdrops or refunds.Brisvia does not give away BRVA, does not double what you send, and has no paid wallet «activation». Anyone promising that is about to scam you.
3Never send BRVA to receive more BRVA.It is the oldest scam in crypto. No one will send you back double. If they offer it, it is a lie.
4Download only from the official site.The only official place is brisvia.com/downloads (which links to GitHub). Do not open or install files sent to you by private message, even if they look like they come from a friend or the team.
5Verify domain, hash and signature.Check that the domain is exactly brisvia.com. Before installing, check the file's hash (SHA-256) and signature, as explained in how to verify the download.
6Brisvia never starts support in your DMs.If someone messages you first claiming to be «Brisvia support», it is a scam. Real help is public, in the official channels below.
7A pool only needs your public address.To mine in a group (pool) you only share your public payout address. No pool, not even the official one, needs your 12 words or your private keys. If one asks for them, do not trust it.

If your antivirus warns about the miner

A program that mines can trigger some antivirus alerts, because it uses the processor. Brisvia plays fair:

Mining only starts when you press the button, and you can stop it whenever you want.
It does not hide, does not disable your antivirus, and uses no tricks to evade it.
The code is public and you can review or build it yourself.
On an alert, verify the file's hash and signature first of all. Never fully disable your antivirus, and never download a «patch» someone sends you to «fix it».

Already shared your 12 words?

If you typed your 12 words anywhere other than your own wallet, act fast:

Create a new wallet (new 12 words) in the official app.
Send your entire balance from the compromised wallet to the new one, as soon as possible.
Never use the old words again: whoever saw them can empty that wallet at any time.
Tell the story in the official channels so others don't fall for the same thing.

Transactions on a public network cannot be undone. No one —not even the Brisvia team— can reverse a payment or recover stolen coins. That is why protecting your 12 words is the most important thing.
